Greenhouse Benches and Plots

Neither comes automatically with GCT membership.

• GCT is housed in a taxpayer-supported township-owned greenhouse:
  you must be a T e a n e c k resident*

• Benches are assigned to a new member ONLY after a member has successfully finished probationary period (12 weeks of attending the work group of her/his choice)
  - IF a bench is available.
  If there are fewer benches than requestors, GCT has a raffle system to award benches equitably.

• Plots, if available, are awarded to new members who have succesfully finished the probation period.
  If there are fewer plots than requestors, again GCT has a raffle system to award plots equitably.

• Plot holders are made aware of Plot Rules and sign a contract to obey them. If a member does not observe GCT By-laws and GH Rules (links at right), after several warnings, he/she loses the garden plot..

* You are welcome to work in a greenhouse group even if you are not a Teaneck resident
